#4 John Carlson

Like Stevens, Carlson was brought in by Holmgren in an attempt to add another dynamic pass catcher to the offensive attack. Carlson was an outstanding two-way player; a smooth receiver who was also a very capable blocker. His career highlight may be the two TD passes he caught in the playoff game against New Orleans in 2010, but even that was overshadowed by Marshawn Lynch’s “Beastquake” run to seal the game late.

In 2012, Seattle allowed Carlson to walk away as a free agent, as they were concerned about multiple concussions he had sustained. He signed a 5 year, $25 million dollar deal with Minnesota. He was released after 2 seasons with the Vikings, and retired last year as a member of the Arizona Cardinals.
