Seahawks vs Vikings: 5 Takeaways from Seattle’s 18-11 loss
By Keith Myers
The running game looked solid
The one big positive on the night offensively for Seattle was the play of Christine Michael. He lost his footing a couple of times in the backfield, but still had a tremendous day overall.
Michael finished with 10 carries for 55 yards. He looked explosive, and the offense was at it’s best when they were consistently feeding him the ball.
There were two other things that were great to see from Michael. First, he made a nice catch on the outside. His hands haven’t exactly been considered a strength, so seeing him snag that ball at full extension was a nice surprise.
The second item was Michael finally holding the ball in his left hand. We even saw him switch hands once. That’s a nice change from the guy that refused to do so in the past.
To go along with a nice game from Michael, the run blocking in the first half was mostly solid. There were a couple of issues in short yardage situations, but overall it was a good performance.
