The Seattle Seahawks are set to take on the Minnesota Vikings at Century Link Field today as they continue their preseason schedule. In this article, I focus on 3 things to watch for during today’s action.

The NFL preseason is a difficult time for evaluation. The projected Seahawks starters see very little action, so our TV screen is filled with little-known players fighting for backup roles and young players easing into their roles. Today’s game will be a chance for many of these players to separate themselves from the rest of the pack.

These two teams have developed quite a rivalry. The last time these two NFC powerhouses faced off was last year’s Wild Card round. The low scoring game ended when Vikings kicker Blair Walsh missed a 27 yard field goal at the end of regulation, sending Seattle to the next round.

Despite the fact that the normal starters won’t play a lot, there are still aspects of today’s game that may have a huge effect on the upcoming season.
