Seahawks make it look easy vs 49ers

The Seahawks came ready to play on Sunday and dominated the San Francisco 49ers en route to a 37 – 18 victory.

The Seahawks started the game off with a 3 play, 75-yard touchdown drive. That was just the start, though, as the Seahawks dominated in every aspect of the game.

Russell Wilson looked outstanding and was sharp on all of his throws.  He was 15/23 for 243 yards and 1 touchdown.  Wilson is the epitome of toughness, and he’s a true leader for this team.

Christine Michael is so exciting to watch and he had himself a big day.  He ran for a career high 106 yards on 20 carries and scored 2 touchdowns.

The Seahawks’ offensive line had a nice game as well.  Bouncing back from a rough outing against the Rams, they opened up holes early in the run game and gave Wilson enough time to make throws downfield.

Doug Baldwin and Jimmy Graham were Wilson’s two favorite targets, and both had huge games.  Baldwin went for 164 yards and Graham added on another 100 receiving yards.  These two are going to be really hard to stop this season.

The Seahawks’ defense continued to dominate opposing offenses, limiting Blaine Gabbert to only 119 passing yards.

Bobby Wagner had a great game, showing up big by forcing the Seahawks’ first turnover of the season with an interception.

Kam Chancellor was impressive all game as well, setting the tone with his bone-crushing hits.  Chancellor was all over the field making plays and he led the team with 8 total tackles.

Sherman, Shead, and Lane have proven to be a dynamic trio in the secondary.  The cornerbacks have been on it each week in both pass coverage and run support.

The Seahawks’ defense has been outstanding this season, allowing only 37 points and 3 touchdowns.  They’ve done a great job of working together as a unit and their early success has been a complete group effort.

The Seahawks always step up when people doubt them, and there were a lot of doubters following the loss to the Rams.  The team regrouped and had a phenomenal game on offense, defense, and special teams.

This momentum should continue to grow as they travel to New York to face the 1-2 Jets on Sunday.  The last time the Seahawks played at MetLife Stadium, they made history by winning the franchise’s first ever Super Bowl.
