Seahawks inactives report: Seattle gets a pair of rookies back from injures this week as they travel to take on the New York Jets.

The Seattle Seahawks are in New Jersey to take on the New York Jets this week. The early start time means that the inactives lists are coming out a little closer to kickoff than we’re used to. Both teams had to put a few guys through quick workouts before deciding which seven guys weren’t going to be in uniform this week.

Seahawks Inactives

The big news here is the name NOT on this list for Seattle. Rookie RG Germain Ifedi is back from his high ankle sprain and will start. That is a huge boost for an offensive line that has mostly struggled thus far this season.

Rookie TE Nick Vannett’s debut will have to wait until after the bye week. He was a game-time decision, so having him as inactive wasn’t a surprise. He should be back and be a large part of the game plan in two weeks after the bye.

Thomas Rawls is still out. He’s likely to be out for a while due to the cracked bone in his leg. The same is true for CJ Procise and the broken bone in his hand. The Seahawks added CJ Spiller this week to add depth at the position with those two both injured.

Jarran Reed is out with a hip injury. He was expected to play, but it must have tightened up on him due to the long flight and early start time.

The rest of the inactives aren’t much of a surprise. Rees Odhiambo replaces Ifedi on the inactive list. The rest of the guys listed here are people who will be inactive most weeks unless there are additional injuries.

Jets Inactives

Eric Decker being out is a huge loss for the Jets. Brandon Marshall is banged up, but will play. That leaves New York with limited depth at wide receiver.

Otherwise the Jets are mostly healthy. There are a few guys, like RB Matt Forte, who are banged up but are active and will play. Former Seahawk RB Troymain Pope is active for the first time all season.
