The Seattle Seahawks head into Lambeau Field this week relatively healthy. They’ll be without Earl Thomas, but the rest of the team is starting to heal.

Before we begin, shall we have a moment of silence for Earl Thomas’s broken leg? Heal quickly ETIII. We miss you already.

This week’s injury report had a long list of names. However when you look close, the only new name is FB Will Tukuafu. Tukuafu is in the NFL concussion protocol after an injury in last Sunday’s game. The Seahawks picked up Marcel Reece, a former University of Washington and Oakland Raiders player, to fill the hole left by Tukuafu.

RB C.J. Prosise is still out due to a shoulder injury. Head Coach Pete Carroll said the plan is to check back in with his progression in two weeks and go from there. Carroll made it clear he’s not sure when Prosise will be back.

Carroll also mentioned that DE Damontre Moore has a foot injury that keeps popping back up. Moore has been able to play through it, however Carroll said they wanted to get him right before having him play again. Hopefully it will be a quick turn around.

The Seahawks have two injuries in their linebacker group. Brock Coyle will miss his third game in a row, having injured his foot in week 11. The second is Mike Morgan. Morgan had a hip injury but Carroll said today he had a good week and will be ready for Sunday.

WR Paul Richardson should be a go this week after fighting a hamstring injury. Richardson has had quite a list of injuries while with the Seahawks, however he has played more this year than ever before and fans are looking forward to more from him.

Now back to Earl Thomas. With Thomas being put on IR for the season, it left a hole at safety. Steven Terrell will step in as the starter, however the Seahawks signed a familiar face to add depth. Jeron Johnson was with Seattle for 4 years prior to moving on to first Washington, then Kansas City. Johnson said it was a great feeling to be back, and although sad about Thomas, was grateful for the opportunity.

Welcome back, Jeron!
