Seattle Seahawks 7-round Mock Draft Heavy with Huskies
By Dan Viens
ROUND 6, PICK 26: ZANE GONZALEZ, K, Arizona State
Fans worried about The Blair Walsh Project could take solace in knowing the consensus best kicker in the college game coming to Seattle. This would be great value in the 6th round, and Gonzalez would most likely win the kicking job at a fraction of the cost that the veteran Walsh signed for.
ROUND 7, PICK 8: JOSH DOBBS, QB, Tennessee
With Trevone Boykin once again in legal trouble, the Seahawks are likely looking for a new backup QB. Dobbs is similar to Boykin in that he’s an outstanding prospect from an athletic standpoint. Where he differs from Boykin is in the maturity category. Dobbs has a reputation as a leader who is dedicated to getting better as a football player. He may even be the better prospect of the two without considering Boykin’s legal troubles.
