The Seahawks training camp opens on July 30. Eleven practices are open to the public; here’s all the info on how you can see your team.
That’s right, 12s, it’s your chance to attend the Seahawks training camp. You have eleven sessions to watch Eddie Lacy, Thomas Rawls and C. J. Prosise battle it out for the lead back. Eleven sessions to see if Jeremy Lane can fend off Shaq Griffin’s push at cornerback. Eleven chances to bask in the glory of your Seahawks. Not a bad way to spend your summer!
The final day of training camp will be August 16. While these selected dates are open to the public, you must register for tickets.

Training camp is free, but it will still cost you to get there.
While the Seahawks training camp is presented by Safeway, meaning admission is free, it’s still going to cost you a few bucks to get in. You must park off-site and pay a $9 transportation fee for the shuttle service. Yes, that is $9 per person.
Parking will be available at The Landing Shopping Center in Renton. You’ll receive your training camp pass there when you check in for the shuttle. This is the only way you’ll get in to the VMAC for training camp. Do not try to park a mile out and hoof it in; you’ll be stuck listening to the cheers from outside.
Registration opens on June 29th. A limited quantity of tickets is reserved for season ticket holders and Blue Pride members. Season ticket holders will receive their invitation via email today, the 27th. Blue Pride members, check your email on the 28th.
If you aren’t one of the above exalted, here is your all-important link to register:
2017 Seahawks Training Camp Registration
Remember, registration opens on June 29th. Last year’s training camp was sold out, so don’t even think about getting that first cup of coffee before you take care of business.
A maximum of four registrants are permitted per group, and a maximum of three practices are permitted per registrant. That’s all the legalese you’re getting from me.
The Seahawks will enforce the NFL Clear Bag Policy at training camp
From the guidelines on the training camp site:
"New in 2017, the Seattle Seahawks will enforce the NFL Clear Bag Policy at Seahawks Training Camp. These measures are designed to both enhance public safety and to expedite entry. Similar to gameday at CenturyLink Field, fans may only bring the following style/size bags and items into Seahawks Training Camp at VMAC:Bags that are clear plastic, vinyl or PVC and do not exceed 12″ x 6″ x 12″One-gallon clear plastic freezer bags (Ziploc bag or similar)Small clutch bags, that do not exceed 4.5″ x 6.5″, with or without a handle or strap, may be carried into Seahawks Training Camp along with one of the clear bag options.Seat cushions and lawn chairs with minimal pockets and zipped compartments. Chairs that fold-up and are carried in bags will be permitted, however the bag will be subject to search.NOTE: An exception will be made for medically necessary items after proper inspection at Bag Check. All bags will be searched at the Renton Landing prior to guests boarding the shuttle to VMAC. If you do not have a clear bag, we will have them available for purchase at the Renton Landing Pro Shop location."
Again, the link is right up there in large print. And here too, if you somehow missed the giant one above. Registration opens June 29th. There is a very complete Guidelines/FAQ link on the registration site for your questions. Please be sure to read through those, as I am notoriously untrustworthy. Well, only when playing cribbage.
There you have it, 12s. Be sure to register on the 29th. It’ syour only way to see your Seahawks at training camp!
