Walter Jones is the one Seahawk to bring back

No doubt, Steve Largent is the greatest Seahawks wide receiver ever. We’re talking 100 touchdowns, and the man who was the NFL’s all-time leading receiver when he retired. Dave Brown was an exceptional player who had 62 interceptions in his career. The core of the Legion of Boom (Thomas, Chancellor and Sherman) have 65 interceptions total. Shaun Alexander truly outbeasted BeastMode with his 100 touchdowns. Finally, Cortez Kennedy was one of the best defensive tackles ever. But none of them can match the Seahawk we’d bring back.

Walter Jones stands along any of them. Okay, I’ll say it. He stands ahead of them. For my money, he is the greatest Seahawk ever. If I may be so awful as to quote my own article on the best Seahawks trades ever,

"“How great was Jones? In 180 games, he gave up a total of 23 sacks. He was penalized for holding nine times. Yes, that is less than one holding call per season. I suppose if one were to be really uncharitable, one could say Jones should have held on those 23 sacks, but that’s quibbling. Truly an all-time NFL great, let alone a great Seahawk.”"

I think George Fant is going to be great this year, I truly do. But he could slide to right tackle, and with Jones on his blind side, DangerRuss could take a sunbath after the snap. Jones gave up an average of two sacks per year. Yes, per year.

Talent, Jones has it. Need, the Seahawks have it. Now, about that grant, Mr. Allen. We’ve been talking to Elon Musk about this idea…
