The Seahawks go into Green Bay to play the Packers relatively healthy. This should be expected heading a new season, right? But some injuries seemed to pop up this week in practice. Here’s who is hurting for Seattle.

Richard Sherman?

It appears that Sherman tweaked a thigh muscle this week and is officially listed as “questionable.”  This was a bit of a surprise add to the injury list on Friday. He did not participate in practice on Friday. Sherman was a full participant on Thursday, so maybe the Seahawks were just holding him out as a precaution. Either way, Seattle will clearly need a nearly fully healthy Sherman going against Aaron Rodgers.

Coach Pete Carroll said about Sherman’s injury, “Yeah, it really just felt something that we wanted to make sure that we really look after and give him a legs day as well.”

Tyler Lockett

Lockett has battled injuries his entire career. Last year he broke his leg and missed the last few games. Still not completely 100 percent, he was a full participant in practice on Friday. Carroll said if Lockett can play he would also return kicks. It appears Lockett can go on Sunday, but returning kicks might be out of the question for the at least week one. Although Carroll did say Friday, “He’s such a spark for us, and so we’ll be able to get him involved in all phases.”

Thomas Rawls

Rawls fully participated in practice every day the last half of the week. Judging from that, Rawls seems to be able to play. The question would be how much? The Seahawks have intimated that Rawls would be the starter to begin the year. He may be, but Eddie Lacy cannot be ruled out to start against the Packers.

Jarran Reed

Reed has a shoulder problem. He did not participate in practice on Friday. Reed would start at defensive tackle if he can play. If Reed cannot go, though, it helps that Nazair Jones has has a very good preseason. Plus, Seattle added Sheldon Richardson recently. So, you know, that’s a good thing.
