The Seahawks take on the Tennessee Titans on Sunday. So far in 2017, 1-1 Seattle’s offense has been terrible and defense has been excellent. For the team to be successful this year, the offense has to improve quickly and soon.

Winning on the road in the NFL is tough. The Seahawks already know this, of course, but got a reminder in week one losing in Green Bay against the Packers. The Titans, however, have relatively struggled at home recently. Tennessee went 5-3 at home in 2016 (they did win their last four at home, it should be noted). They lost in week one in Nashville. So, doing the math, that is 5-4 over their last nine at home.

For the Seahawks to win on Sunday, though, they must score points. The problem is, it appears Seattle is still looking for an identity offensively. Do they want to run the ball more? Should they do more read option? Possibly just throw the ball a ton? Who knows really. Hopefully Darrell Bevell has a plan.

The issue the defense faces is it is going to be hot in Nashville on Sunday. High 80s. That’s warm. And if Seattle’s defense cannot get off the field on third down, they will wear out. The Seahawks have to stop the run early and then not allow Titans’ quarterback Marcus Mariota to pick up thirds.

But Seattle’s offense is not helping the defense either with far too many short drives. I don’t see this changing on Sunday.

Prediction: Titans 24 Seahawks 13
