After several weeks of being relatively healthy, the Seahawks sustained some key injuries in their week four win. Who is out and doubtful and who will play for Seattle against the Rams on Sunday?

Out

Clearly, Chris Carson will not play. And he will not play for some time, if at all again this season. Carson broke his leg against the Colts. But worse, he sustained a high ankle sprain that required surgery. This injury may keep him out longer than the broken leg.

Cliff Avril injured his neck against the Colts. This was a scary injury as Avril felt tingling and numbness in both arms well after the play. Coach Pete Carroll made the ambiguous statement that, ” If he wants to come back and we want to bring him back…” What this means exactly I am unsure. I could read into it that Avril may not ever play again. Hopefully, that is not the case.

Recently brought back defensive tackle Quinton Jefferson broke his hand in practice on Wednesday and could be out four weeks.

Doubtful

Jeremy Lane is trying to find his way back from a groin injury. Likely, he will not play this week. At least Seattle has Justin Coleman to play the nickel and he has played it well so far this year.

C.J. Prosise is also doubtful with an ankle injury. At this point, it is pretty safe to assume that Prosise is almost always doubtful. Prosise and Carson being out means Thomas Rawls, Eddie Lacy and J.D. McKissic will need to be stars for the Seahawks to win on Sunday.

Probable

After suffering a bruised sternum against the Colts, Rees Odhiambo looks like he can go this week. This is a bit of a surprise. Now Seattle just needs to hope he plays well.

Earl Thomas, who missed practice this week, should be ready to go Sunday, too.
