The Seahawks take on the Rams on Sunday in Los Angeles. With a win the Rams will move two games ahead of Seattle. With a Seahawks win, they will move into a first place tie.

The Seahawks get to play in warm Los Angeles. This is not so great. Seattle has struggled in games when it is 80 degrees or warmer lately. Of course, this game will not be as hot as the game against Tennessee two weeks ago, but hot is hot. Especially for football.

The other struggle for the Seahawks this week comes in the form of the Rams newly-potent offense. Under new Los Angeles coach Sean McVay, quarterback Jared Goff looks like a completely different player. And one who is playing with a lot of confidence.

Rams running back Todd Gurley is playing the way Los Angeles hoped he would when they drafted him in the first round in 2015. He is being used in different ways than in previous seasons. Seattle will have to be prepared to see Gurley in different formations and get the ball a lot, both as a receiver and in the backfield.

This will be Seattle’s third road game of the season, and they have yet to win one. The Rams will want to be the pup that beats the alpha dog in this matchup. This is definitely a game the Seahawks can win, but it won’t be easy.
