The Seahawks and Rams enter the the L.A. Coliseum on Sunday to battle for first place in the NFC West. The somewhat surprising Rams are the little pup that wants to take on alpha dog Seattle. Who will win?

This game is going to be tough for the Seahawks. It’s a road game. The temperature will be over 80 degrees. Los Angeles is playing with a lot of confidence, especially offensively, in a way they have not for a very long time.

I think this game comes down to which teams defense plays better. Sure, the Rams are scoring a bunch of points and Seattle not as much. But the Seahawks have had excellent second halves in the last two games and can move the ball. Seattle just needs to execute in the red zone.

But the Rams usually vaunted defense has not been it’s normal self. And Seattle’s D has given up quite a few big plays. The Seahawks have to limit this on Sunday. But I believe the Rams offense might still be new enough under coach Sean McVay that they stay one play ahead of Seattle. When these teams play a second time in week 15, I think the outcome will be different.

But Sunday the Rams will get Todd Gurley the ball a ton as a running back and a receiver and Seattle will struggle.

Prediction: Rams 28 Seahawks 20
