The Seahawks come home after two straight road games (with a week off in between). Seattle will play a Texans team that is different than expected. Seattle needs a win to stay tied for first in the loss column of the NFC West.

The Seahawks were expected to have a good offense when the 2017 season season began. The Texans were expected to be great on defense. Through the first third of the season, Seattle ranks 14th in the NFL in scoring. The Texans are 25th in points allowed.

The fun part of this game, though, is that Seattle is tied for first in points allowed. Houston is third in scoring. Who would have thunk that last part? But under rookie quarterback Deshaun Watson’s 15 touchdown passes, the Texans can score in bunches.

And so here we are: Houston’s passing game will face the Seahawks secondary. This will be great television.

The difference in this game, however, might be if Seattle’s offense can score points early. The Seahawks have struggled in first halves this year. Seattle does not want to find themselves down 21-3 at the half. Russell Wilson needs to look often and early to Doug Baldwin and company.
