The Seahawks lost a game against the Redskins they should not have. But thank goodness it is a short week. Seattle can erase a lot of bad memories with a win on Thursday against the Arizona Cardinals.

The Seahawks should have never lost to the Washington Redskins. Seattle had a better team. But the past is now past and Seattle must win on Thursday. But the Cardinals have a recent history of making the Seahawks sad. The Seahawks were the better team each time they played the Cardinals in 2016, but Seattle never defeated Arizona.

Arizona, though, while they have good defensive personnel have not been great in 2017. The Cardinals are 27th in points allowed per game with opposing teams scoring 25.1 points a game.  But they are 12th best in quarterback rating allowed. And they are seventh best in yards-per-rushing attempt. In other words, the Cardinals can shut down the Seahawks offense even better than Washington did.

Arizona can easily beat Seattle. Even though quarterback Carson Palmer and running back David Johnson are not going to play, Arizona can win. Recently acquired Adrian Peterson has been great for Arizona. Seattle should see a lot of run against them on Thursday. Stop Peterson and score 21 points and Seattle will win. If not, Seattle will be 5-4.
