Seahawks vs. Cardinals: Staff predictions for which team wins
By Lee Vowell
The Seahawks play the Cardinals for second place in the NFC West on Thursday. Seattle is a better team with more talent. This does not mean they will win, however. In the NFL of 2017, one team having more talent means nothing. Here is who some of the 12th Man Rising staff will think will win.

After last week’s dismal performance, I look for the Hawks to bounce back against Arizona. The Seahawks are the superior team in every category. Then again, the same could be said last week and we saw how that turned out. Even with the Cardinals starting Drew Stanton at QB, Seattle will need to play a solid game to get back on track. Drop this one and it’s borderline panic mode.
Prediction: Seahawks 24 Cardinals 10

After the lull against Washington, Seattle will bounce back in the desert. If they contain Cardinals running back Adrian Peterson on the defensive side. A match up to watch when Seattle has the ball is Arizona defensive end Chandler Jones versus Seahawks left tackle Duane Brown. Most importantly, a win applies pressure to the Rams heading into Sunday. A loss evens things up with Arizona at second place in the division. On Thursday, can Seattle apply pressure on the opposition rather than themselves? We shall see.
Prediction: Seahawks 24 Cardinals 16

First of all, I should never pick Seattle. I jinx them. But that said, after watching the Seahawks lose to an under-manned Redskins team on Sunday, Arizona can easily win. The Cardinals have a good defense, even if their stats don’t prove it this season. Seattle cannot run the ball consistently. Arizona can put enough pressure to limit Seattle’s offense. And Earl Thomas and Richard Sherman could both potentially miss Thursday.
