There were several bright spots from that bad Seahawks loss

Depending on the injury bug, we have a running back again

That running back is not Eddie Lacy, no. It would be Mike Davis, the guy who led all Seahawks in rushing in the preseason. His stat line Monday night wasn’t eye-opening. Six carries for 18 yards, you think no big deal. Then you notice the two catches for 41 yards, and you get a little interested. And if you watched him play, you’re very interested. Davis ran the ball with absolute ferocity. Watch and believe:

Davis is doubtful for Sunday’s game against the Forty-Niners. What isn’t in doubt is the future of the Seahawks running game.

Hey, that quarterback is okay, too

Of course, there’s no way to mention the Seahawks bright spots without talking about Russell Wilson. As bright spots go, the man is a supernova. Yes, I know that literally means he would explode, but let’s just ignore that for now, okay? We have enough injuries as it is.

Wilson now accounts for 117 percent of the Seahawks offense. I’d run through the math, but it’s all very quantumy, and I’m pretty sure only a Time Lord could do the maths anyway. Okay, not exactly true, but it does seem that way, doesn’t it? I know you’ve already watched this 100 times. I also know you want to watch it 100 times more, so:

Yes, Russell Wilson broke a man’s ankles with a pump fake. He repeatedly evaded the Falcon’s Vic Beasley who was on spy duty much of the night. And Beasley is a terror. He’s fought injuries this season, but like our own Tyler Lockett, he’s getting back to full speed. Wilson still made him look silly on some plays.

I can’t say I’m happy with the result of Monday night’s game, but I am happy with what this team can still do, despite all the injuries.
