Seahawks vs. Eagles: Preview, TV and live stream
By Lee Vowell
The Seahawks defeated the Eagles in 2016 in Seattle in a game that was not close. In 2017, though, Philadelphia has the best record in the NFL. And for good reason.
The Seahawks do not have it too easy on Sunday night. The Eagles lead the NFL in rushing yards allowed on first down. And they lead the league in fewest third downs converted. On offense, Philadelphia leads the league in scoring at 31.9. This is 2 points better than the second place Los Angeles Rams.
Last year the Seahawks intercepted Eagles quarterback Carson Wentz twice. One was by Richard Sherman. The other was Kam Chancellor. Of course, neither of these players will be available for Seattle on Sunday. And Wentz is better this season than he was as a rookie.
So what hope does Seattle have to win?
First, the Eagles are 24th in kickoff coverage. And the Seahawks Tyler Lockett has been back to his old form the last couple of weeks. Give Lockett some space and he might get Seattle 6 points.
Secondly, Russell Wilson has been playing like an MVP this year. He won’t win the award, but he is playing as well as anyone. And Wilson gets better late in games. If Seattle can keep the game close into the fourth quarter, Wilson could put them over.
Plus, the Wilson to Jimmy Graham connection has began working fantastically in the red zone.
Lastly, the game is in Seattle. That always gives 12s hope.
