The Seahawks having a slow news days in Seahawks-dom? Yes, but there is still stuff to talk about. The list includes four Seattle players making a list of the top 100 players in the NFL. And more…

The Seahawks might be about to undergo some major roster changes. But according to one list, Seattle still has plenty of talent. According to Pro Football Focus‘s top 101 players from the 2017, Seattle has four of the greatest.

Bobby Wagner is the best of the Seahawks and had the fourth best season in the NFL. Earl Thomas was number 66. Doug Baldwin was number 80. And, um…Russell Wilson was 93rd. 93. Really?

Not that Doug Baldwin did not have a good season, but his year was not better than Wilson’s. I understand that PFF ranks their players by grade. But Wilson was far more valuable to Seattle than Baldwin. Wilson had all of his team’s offensive touchdowns except one.

So take these rankings from PFF as you will…

Should the Seahawks sign Dion Lewis?

Seahawks Wire makes a pretty good argument that Seattle could help fix its running back room by signing Lewis. Lewis ran for nearly 900 yards in 2017 in his first fully healthy NFL season. Plus, he is a really good receiver.

Seattle certainly needs a back who can do both well. But whether Lewis  can run behind a porous run-blocking offensive line is another question.

Seattle should make no play for Le’Veon Bell

Field Gulls says, rightfully, that Bell should not be signed by Seattle. Too much money! Plus, Bell is probably older in running back years than in human years. For more information, check Andrea Hangst article.
