The Seahawks need big performances in 2018 from players who haven’t yet been stars. Seattle has lost several talented players. Some needs to take their places. Here’s an idea of three Seahawks who make big impacts this season.

12s, your Seahawks are in a transition. Seemingly gone are those more comfortable years of 2013 through 2016 when you expected Seattle to show up to games and win. Now, with the losses of players like Richard Sherman, Jimmy Graham and Michael Bennett, Seattle has narrow hopes of making the playoffs.

Young players need to begin to make impacts for the long-term for future success in Seattle. This happened a bit last year, but with limited success. Cornerback Shaquill Griffin showed potential. But even he missed most of the Atlanta Falcons game after Chancellor and Sherman had been lost for the season the week prior.

And this was when Griffin was really counted on without the two centerpieces of the LOB. So off subject, think about that for just a second. Seattle barely lost to the Falcons and played mostly without Griffin and entirely without Chancellor or Sherman. If that doesn’t give you hope for 2018, nothing will.

Naz Jones was another rookie who had moments of potential excellence. And he also was lost to injury a bit over halfway through 2017. Jones and Jarran Reed have the potential to solidify the middle of the Seahawks defensive line for years.

But to be successful in 2018, some other young players need to be very good. Here are three with that potential.
