The Seahawks continued their organized team activities on Thursday, but with some players missing. This includes Earl Thomas still not in camp. And Russell Wilson got mocked. Here is your Seattle OTA news!

The Seahawks were missing several players during OTAs on Thursday. Earl Thomas, of course, is still holding out – or at least making it appear that way. But Seattle was also without Frank Clark, Byron Maxwell, D.J. Fluker and Sebastian Janikowski.

Clark and Maxwell just seemed to be, as Pete Carroll said, taking OTAs “literally” as voluntary. Of course, these workouts are voluntary, but it still seems odd that players avoid them when their teammates are there. Maxwell, for one, was signed to a one-year deal so one would think that he would want to show up to help ease the report for his next contract.

Fluker and Janikowski are just a bit sore. Fluker has a knee issue. Janikowski has a pained hip. So them missing these workouts seems logical.

Thomas wants his next contract now and wants it guaranteed. Many around the Seahawk organization think he will return for mandatory minicamp. But if Thomas does not show, that is when the real “fun” will begin.

One positive is that running back Chris Carson looks to be in great shape and running well. A tandem of Carson and Rashaad Penny could be excellent.

Wilson gets “unlimited” treatment

Very few in the NFL are above the game. Russell Wilson is no different, at least to his Seattle teammates.

I am not sure if you have seen the, for lack of another way of putting it, weird Mr. Unlimited thing Wilson is doing. It’s the voice he uses when he says “unlimited.” This voice just does not sound like the Wilson we know.

His teammates must think the same way. In OTAs on Thursday, Seahawks were harassing Wilson after plays with chants of “unlimited.” I am not sure if Wilson himself came up with the unlimited concept but its power to broaden Wilson’s appeal appears a bit, well…limited.
