The Seahawks are going 10-6 this year? According to NFL.com, Seattle is going to have a better season than in 2017. Does this mean playoffs?

The Seahawks will start off the season 1-3 with three road losses and one win at home, week three against the Dallas Cowboys. Then Seattle really gets rolling. At least, that is what NFL.com thinks.

The problem with the prediction (and trust me, I hope Seattle does 10-6 or better, of course) is that the way the Seahawks get there isn’t overly logical. NFL.com quickly throws out the 1-3 start. There isn’t a lot of reason given to why Seattle loses in week two to Chicago. None at all actually.

But then week five happens. That is the first game the Seahawks will face the Los Angeles Rams in 2018. Sure, the game is at home, but after a 1-3 start, what makes NFL.com think Seattle will suddenly beat the Rams? Who knows? Other than the game is at home and Seattle “always plays the Rams tough.” Really?

This Rams win is part of a 7-1 stretch for Seattle. The only loss during this time comes against the Rams on the road. That at least makes sense. As does the two wins at the end of the year for Seattle at home.

Next: Maybe the Seahawks roster isn't so bad after all...

At the end of the video, NFL.com says the Seahawks “find their way back to the postseason.” So no matter what I think of NFL.com’s road map for Seattle’s season, I am happy that they are predicting Seattle to get back to the playoffs. Oh, and they also clearly love Russell Wilson. So that’s good because doesn’t everybody?
