Madden 19 player ratings are in. Some Seahawks may be maddened.

The premier NFL video game has released all its player ratings. Some Seahawks will be pleased, but I’m pretty sure most expect their ratings to improve.

Madden NFL 19 is the latest version of a 30 year franchise. We’ve already run down the ratings of the top opposing players the Seahawks will face in 2018, but now we can get down to the good stuff: our guys! There are more than a few surprises here, to be sure. Bear in mind the publisher, EA Sports, updates the ranking every week. You probably see a certain starter from last year ranked as the third best running back on the team for long.

If you’d like to play along, here’s the link to the rating gizmo on the EA Sports site. You can search for every team, not just the Seahawks – although why would you want to do that? Seriously, it’s pretty fun to sort players by their catch rating, elusiveness, or one of my favorites, truck. That measures the ability to run over the opponent like a – yeah, a Mack truck. Or a Peterbuilt, if that’s your brand. It’s no surprise that Chris Carson leads the Seahawks in this category with a rating of 86.

You can also compare players across the league in any individual stat. Want to know if anyone is better than Russell Wilson at throwing on the run?  Take a look at Wilson’s ratings for yourself. At least according to Madden (the game, not the coach), Aaron Rodgers is the only man better at creating on the fly, as he’s rated at 97, and Wilson at 96. I call foul on this, but we’ll see.
