The Seahawks have less than 10 days until training camp starts. But this is still the season of rumors. Here are two.

Dez Bryant to the Seahawks is a good idea

According to Ben Arthur of SeattlePI, Germain Ifedi thinks the Seahawks getting Bryant would be a good idea. And Arthur doesn’t think that is a bad idea. Arthur says a player of Bryant’s size might be good for quarterback Russell Wilson.

And maybe Arthur is correct. But doesn’t it seem like Seattle is simply searching for an older player of a certain height to throw to? Brandon Marshall was brought in this offseason and his numbers are just as good as Bryant’s. And neither Bryant nor Marshall have been very good recently.

In fact, Seattle is probably better off without either of them. At least Marshall is relatively inexpensive. Bryant would probably want more money.

Earl Thomas seems to want out

Thomas could just be talking to talk, but according to Thomas’s recent Instagram post, he thinks he should be traded if Seattle doesn’t want to sign him to an extension.

Maybe Earl is just being Earl. Thomas is a great player and a future Hall of Famer. But his way with words is interesting. Thomas is a whimsical thinker. Some could find that frustrating. No one can be completely sure at all times what Thomas is meaning.

On the other hand, I much like the way Thomas emotes. He is funny and not boring. Maybe his words scare me sometimes when it comes to him openly loving the Dallas Cowboys. But we were all kids once and had a favorite team. Thomas just happens to be a big kid still. And a great free safety who will hopefully be playing with the Seahawks for several years to come.
