Seahawks injury updates after loss to the Bears

The Seahawks didn’t lose too many more players to injury in Monday’s loss to the Bears. Pete Carroll updated where Seattle’s health stands on Tuesday.
The Seahawks entered Monday’s game against the Chicago Bears missing their best receiver and their top two linebackers, among others. Thankfully on Monday, even though Seattle lost, the team didn’t lose many more players.
Starting center Justin Britt injured his shoulder late against Chicago and was replaced by Joey Hunt. Coach Pete Carroll said that x-rays on Britt’s shoulder were negative, though. The problem is that Seattle still doesn’t know the extent of the injury or how much time Britt might miss.
At least Hunt knows the offense extremely well even if he hasn’t gotten much game play. As far as line calls, Hunt should be able to do that with ease if he has to fill in for a game or five.
In better news, Carroll said linebacker Bobby Wagner should return for Sunday’s game against the Dallas Cowboys. Wagner is the best linebacker in football and makes the Seahawks a better team when he is on the field. If he were to miss the Cowboys game against such a good rushing team, that would be very bad.
Wagner’s linebacker partner K.J. Wright has missed both games this season after getting his knee scoped late in the preseason. Carroll said there is a chance Wright plays against Dallas. But the coach also said that it “could be another week.”
Doug Baldwin will miss the Dallas game. The receiver timetable for return is not known. It is clear that Russell Wilson misses his best receiver. Baldwin cannot get back soon enough for 12s.
Finally, rookie corner Tre Flowers may be able to come back against Dallas. Flowers was not great in week one. But his replacement, Akeem King, wasn’t great in week two. At least Flowers has more potential than King.
