The Seahawks play the Cowboys on Sunday in a game that Seattle must win to keep meager playoff hopes alive. Here is what our staff thinks will happen.

The Seahawks are 0-2. The offense looks dismal. The Cowboys’ offense isn’t much better. But Dallas has a better offensive line and a proven running back in Ezekiel Elliott. At least Seattle will get Bobby Wagner back this week.

Who wins on Sunday and why? This is what some of the 12th Man Rising staff predicts.

I don’t see any improvements on either since of the ball since Monday. Dallas has a better offense than Denver or Chicago. With no pass rush, how long can the young DB’s hold it together for the Seahawks? Dallas also has a better defensive front line than the aforementioned franchises so #3 (Russell Wilson) better get back to his old scrambling ways or Hundley will need to buckle up the chinstrap early. Do I dare mention the “Run Game”? What Seattle run game, you ask? Good question. Everyone knows you need to establish the run game to have an effective pass game. I think Seattle has the personal to be effective in both areas, so lets give Chris Carson and Rashaad Penny a shot to see. GO HAWKS!!

I have about as much confidence in this Seattle offense as I do the Sonics winning the NBA Championship this season. The Seahawks B-team defense looked solid last week. But then again, it was against Mitchell Trubisky and the Bears’ offense. Dallas has a much better offense and Elliott will gash Seattle for over 150 yards. This isn’t as ferocious as a defense as Chicago, but Demarcus Lawrence gets to Wilson just like Mack and Miller did in previous weeks. Seahawks fall to 0-3.

Finally, Seattle gets their first home game of 2018. Road games are always tough to win. Which means Dallas should have a difficult time winning in CenturyLink. The Seahawks get some players back this week, like Bobby Wagner. Maybe the home crowd energizes the team and that momentum carries a still baged-up Seattle team to a win. Or, more likely, Brian Schottenheimer still can’t figure out a way to use Wilson or call run plays.
