Special teams and coaching

Punter

The Seahawks have Michael Dickson, so he’s great. Chris Jones of Dallas has always been solid but not great. If Seattle has any real clear area that they are much better than Dallas, then that is at punter.

Advantage: Seahawks

Kicker

Sebastian Janikowski can still kick the ball a long way. He made a 56-yarder against the Bears in week two. Sure, he missed an important try in week one, but it was still from 46 yards, so let’s give him a break. Dallas made an odd move of releasing Dan Bailey this offseason.

Advantage: Seahawks

Returners

Tyler Lockett is a very good return guy as 12s all know. But he hasn’t been able to do much with kick returns in 2018. Let’s hope he gets a chance against the Cowboys on Sunday. Lockett also has had meager returns on punts this year too.

Tavon Austin can be a dangerous punt returner for Dallas.

Advantage: Seahawks

Coaching

Pete Carroll as a great track record with the Seahawks. For Dallas, Jason Garrett has good years just when he seems to be on the verge of being let go. But the problem in Seattle is Brian Schottenheimer has been a failure in his first two weeks.

For Seattle to win against Dallas and get their first win of 2018, Schottenheimer needs to find a way to use Wilson effectively. He also needs to call run plays and do so consistently and not take quarters off from running the ball, as he did in week two.
