The Seahawks list of inactives for week four against the Arizona Cardinals includes running back Chris Carson. This is not good.

Just when 12s thought it was safe to go back in the water, the Seahawks announced they will be without running back Chris Carson on Sunday. Carson was one of the most important players on the field last week against the Cowboys and he will be missed this week.

Carson has had a hip issue this week in practice, but it appeared most assumed Carson would be available for Sunday. He won’t be. So for Seattle to win, rookie Rashaad Penny is going to have to be productive and will have pressure to succeed for the first time in his professional career. Will he? Seahawk fans have to hope so.

Besides Carson, an already thin defensive line will be without two players. Dion Jordan is dealing with a core injury. He has been mostly injured for his entire career, but has played in all three games in 2018.

Seattle will also be without rookie Rasheem Green. With Jordan and Green out, the Seahawks will need another really good performance from Quinton Jefferson. Jefferson had four quarterback hits against Dallas in week three.

Linebacker K.J. Wright will, as expected, miss Sunday’s game. Seattle has been hoping he can make it back for next week’s Rams game. (The Seahawks have to be hoping Carson can make it back then too.)

Next. One of these three key stats for Seahawks you can forget.... dark

And guard Ethan Pocic won’t be able to go either. Pocic wasn’t going to start anyway as J.R. Sweezy was going to. But Pocic’s injury makes the Seattle offensive line thin. Let’s hope no one gets hurt during the game.
