The Seahawks won a game on Sunday over the Cardinals. But they did not look good offensively doing so. Here are the grades.

The Seahawks had more yards than the Cardinals on Sunday and more time of possession. Seattle also had Mike Davis rush for over 100 yards. But Seattle didn’t do enough on offense in a game they should have won easily.

The Seahawks did win 20-17. But it wasn’t pretty and Seattle needs to fix things. Here are the offensive grades.

Quarterback

Russell Wilson had an interesting game. He was accurate and only sacked twice but he threw for no touchdowns and his passer rating was just 90.5. Yes, it was that kind of game. Wilson also had four rushes for 21 yards, most on scrambles for first downs when Seattle needed him to run.

Wilson did nothing wrong in this game. He didn’t hold on to the ball too long or throw a bad interception. He simply just didn’t do anything spectacular.

Grade: B

Running backs

The best part about Seattle’s offense was the rushing game. Too bad at times Brian Schottenheimer didn’t believe in it. Like on a third-and-one that could have extended a Seattle drive when the offensive coordinator chose to throw the ball rather than run it.

Still, Davis was great with two touchdowns and his 100-yard rushing day. Davis also caught four passes. Rashaad Penny had nine carries for 49 yards and a 5.4 yards-per-carry average. Overall, Seattle averaged 5 yards a carry. A good effort even without Chris Carson.

Grade: A

Receivers/tight end

Seattle’s receiver were pedestrian on Sunday. David Moore had one very good catch and run for 30 yards but this was easily the best play of the day for Seattle’s receivers. Doug Baldwin came back and caught five passes but only averaged 8.2 yards-per-catch. Tyler Lockett had five catches too and picked up an important first down.

The tight ends did little. Unfortunately, Will Dissly was injured and will be out for the year. He had a promising rookie season going so it will be exciting to see what he can do in 2019 and beyond. Nick Vannett had just one catch.

Grade: C

Offensive line

This is where things get odd. The Seahawks averaged five yards a rush and Wilson got sacked just twice. But Seattle managed just 20 points and were 0-10 on third downs. How much of this is on the offensive coordinator versus the line is up for debate.

Next. Earl Thomas gets injured, just as he feared. dark

Wilson was still under pressure quite a bit even if sacked just two times. And this line continues to be much better at run blocking than pass blocking.
