The Seahawks will be without K.J. Wright on Sunday versus the Rams. This is bad news. Here is more bad injury news as well.

The Seahawks were hoping to get linebacker K.J. Wright back this week after he missed the first four weeks of the season after getting his knee scoped. Wright appears to be out against the Los Angeles Rams. In fact, no one seems to know when Wright will return.

In Wright’s place Seattle will have to rely on rookie Austin Calitro. Calitro was pretty good in place of Bobby Wagner when Wagner missed week two against the Chicago Bears. But the Rams are quite a bit better than Chicago.

Whether the Seahawks could beat the Rams with Wright was questionable. But Los Angeles taking advantage of a rookie linebacker seems likely.

Of course, Earl Thomas and Will Dissly will both be out for the rest of the year. Both players were placed on injured reserve. Thomas broke his leg against Arizona. And in the same game, Dissly hurt his patellar tendon.

In better news, Chris Carson is expected to return after missing Sunday’s Arizona Cardinals game. Carson will be vital to any chance of Seattle winning against Los Angeles. Seattle will need to be able to keep the Rams offense off the field so running the ball with Carson in one of the few avenues to the Seahawks winning.

Next. The NFC West could still be up for grabs?. dark

Seattle also recently signed Maurice Alexander. Alexander can play linebacker or safety and has been a starter in the NFL, including parts of the last two seasons with the Rams. His experience could be invaluable on Sunday.
