The Seahawks opened as a 3 point favorite over the Raiders in Sunday’s game in London. Here is why Seattle should win.

The Seahawks play the Raiders in London on Sunday. This is one of three NFL games to take place in England this season. Seattle has never played in London previously. And the Seahawks are favored to win. According to Odds Shark, 2-3 Seattle is favored by 3 points over 1-4 Oakland.

Of course, one of the main stories of this game is that Seattle will play former Seahawk Marshawn Lynch for the first time. Lynch was the leading rusher with the Seahawks for several seasons and it’s lead rusher when Seattle went to back-to-back Super Bowls.

But Lynch was much more than just the team’s leading rusher. He was also known for Skittles eating and diving into end zones and for two BeastQuake runs. He wasn’t great in his last year in Seattle but he will always be a little missed.

But why will the Seahawks win on Sunday? Because they have found an identity running the ball. Chris Carson has Pro Bowl talent. Mike Davis has been excellent in more limited snaps as well. And Oakland is 28th in the league at defending the run.

While the Raiders are sixth in the NFL in passing yards per game, Derek Carr is 22nd in quarterback rating. (Russell Wilson is ninth in QBR in comparison.) Seattle is fifth in QBR-against.

dark. Next. Rashaad Penny might still be OK

So basically it appears Seattle’s strengths go against Oakland’s weaknesses. If everything stays true to form, the Seahawks should leave London at 3-3 before their bye week. At least, Las Vegas oddsmakers think that is what will happen.
