In 2017, the Seahawks were suffering bad injury after bad injury. But no so far in 2018. In fact, Seattle seems to be getting healthier.

12s mostly want to forget the Seahawks 2017 season. Don’t get me wrong. Seattle wasn’t awful last year. But they didn’t make the playoffs and that was unexpected and sad. In 2018, though, Seattle wasn’t sure to get to the postseason. And yet, they are in the mix.

The great thing for Seattle is that the team is getting players back from injury instead of losing more. Seattle has lost Earl Thomas and Will Dissly for the year. But that was way back in week four. Since then, Doug Baldwin has returned from being hurt and so has D.J. Fluker.

Plus, after this Sunday’s bye week, the Seahawks could see the linebacker K.J. Wright and tight end Ed Dickson come back. Both players have missed the entire season so far. Wright had his knee scoped in preseason and was expected back sooner than now.

Dickson has been out all year with a non-football injury. He will bring excellent blocking ability while being able to catch a pass or five. Seattle really needs their tight ends to block well in Brian Schottenheimer’s scheme. So far they have and Dickson will only augment that.

Running back J.D. McKissic is also expected to be available in week eight when Seattle travels to the Detroit Lions. The big question with McKissic is who the Seahawks take off the roster to activate him?

Next. Seahawks owner Paul Allen passes away. dark

One player may be C.J. Prosise. Though Seattle seems to like Prosise, he cannot stay healthy. And McKissic can do a lot of the same things. I can see a McKissic for Prosise switch, and the team might be better off for it.
