The 3-3 Seahawks play the 3-3 Lions on Sunday. To find out more about Detroit I asked five questions to Steven Mullenax of SideLion Report.

The Seahawks need a win on the road in week eight. The Lions need a win at home. Both teams are fighting for a playoff spot and both lately are playing well. A loss would not end either team’s season. But a win would put each team in much better position.

The Lions still have a chance to win their division. But Seattle needs wins to get a Wild Card berth.

To find out more about Seattle’s next opponent, I asked five questions to Steven Mullenax of  FanSided’s Detroit Lions site, SideLion Report, about Detroit football. Here is what he had to say about the Lions and Sunday’s game.

The Lions recent big splash trade

12th Man Rising: Detroit has difficulty stopping the run. Seattle likes to run the ball. But the Lions just traded for Damon “Snacks” Harrison. What do you expect from Harrison on Sunday and how much will he improve the Lions?

Steven Mullenax: I think the Detroit Lions view Harrison as the missing piece to make this new Matt Patricia defensive scheme finally click. It’s been a slow learning curve in Detroit, but I believe we are starting to see the impact Patricia’s translated defensive scheme which he brought with him from the New England Patriots starting to take shape. By no means do I believe Harrison will come in for his first game in the Motor City and transform this run defense. But certainly his presence will affect how Seattle schemes against them.
