The Seahawks are playing good football. So are the Chargers. But Vegas oddsmakers aren’t sure Seattle can beat Los Angeles at CenturyLink.

The Seahawks have won four of their last five games. The Chargers are 5-2 in 2018. Sunday’s game should be good. But even though Seattle is playing at home, Odds Shark isn’t sure that Seattle will win the game.

Sure, Seattle is a 1.5-point favorite, but home teams normally get 3 points. What this really means is that Las Vegas oddsmakers think Los Angeles is going to win. So even though the Seahawks have been one of the better teams in the NFL over the last six weeks, Vegas thinks they are not good enough to beat the Chargers.

Odds Shark focuses more of their attention about the game on the over/under. The line is currently set at 48 but the site thinks both offenses are playing well enough to easily exceed the 48 points.

Philip Rivers is good. And Russell Wilson is pretty good too.

Los Angeles is currently eighth in the NFL in scoring with 27.9 points per game. Seattle is 17th in the league for the season but ranks 12th in the NFL over their last five games. Both teams can score points.

But Odds Shark says the reason Seattle is favored is: “Seattle’s famous 12th Man gives the Seahawks the tiniest of spreads in oddsmakers’ eyes.” So the reason Seattle is a 1.5-point favorite isn’t because the team is good enough to win on their own merit; The reason the Seahawks will win is because the fans are so loud.

Next. Seahawks release Brandon Marshall. dark

And while 12s are loud. The play of the Seahawks will determine whether they win or lose on Sunday. And while Vegas may not have them as a favorite, I would bet that Seattle comes out of week nine with a win.
