So many Rams for NFL MVP

12th Man: Of course, the Rams overall have been fantastic. The offense seems unstoppable and are first in the NFL in points per game. Who would you vote for for MVP at this point in the season: Todd Gurley or Jared Goff and why?

SR: Hands down it’s Todd Gurley. Gurley is the straw that stirs the drink in Los Angeles. Having said that, Goff has been everything fans could have hoped for in his third year. While teams will find a running back to compliment an offense and especially a quarterback, the running game that Gurley provides has really helped Goff make some huge strides in 2018. Without him, the Rams offense is drastically different.

What is the biggest surprise of the Rams season in 2018?

12th Man: What is your biggest surprise of the season for the Rams so far? And, if there is one, your biggest disappointment, albeit for a team that is 8-1?

SR: For me, the biggest surprise is how head coach Sean McVay has managed to take the Rams offense and improve on it one year later. The entire league had 16 games worth of tape on them in 2017, yet they remain as explosive and even more so a year later. Robert Woods is the best kept secret. Brandin Cooks and Cooper Kupp get a lot of kudos, but it’s Woods who is steady. As for a disappointment, it’s the Rams defense as a whole. The big ticket free agents haven’t panned out, and that is a tough break for fans in LA.
