The Seahawks didn’t lose more players to injury on Sunday. That is good news as Seattle gets ready to play the Packers and will also get Chris Carson and others back.

The Seahawks will be the healthier team on Thursday. Seattle will see the return of running back Chris Carson and guard D.J. Fluker. Both players missed Sunday’s game against the Rams. The Packers will be missing several starters. This is another reason Seattle should win.

While Rashaad Penny did rush for over 100 yards against the Rams and Mike Davis has been very good when Carson couldn’t play at times this year, Carson brings a sense of physicality that neither Penny or Davis have. The Seahawks need Carson to play on Thursday to win.

The only player to miss practice on Tuesday was K.J. Wright. Most likely, Wright won’t be able to play on Thursday. Wright has missed most of the season following having his knee scoped in preseason. And he really hasn’t played like himself since his return.

Another player that Seattle needs to produce at a high level against Green Bay that has an injury concern is Dion Jordan. The defensive end is listed as questionable with a knee but was a full participant on the injury report on Wednesday.

The Packers, however, have major issues as several starters will be out against Seattle. Receiver Randall Cobb (hamstring), cornerback (and former Washington Husky) Kevin King (hamstring), safety Kentrell Brice (ankle) and linebacker Nick Perry (knee) will not be able to play.

Sure, none of these players are Aaron Rodgers. But Seattle will take any break it can get in a must-win game for them. Whoever loses this game will have a tough time making the playoffs. Let’s just hope the Packers have more concerns than do the Seahawks by the time Thursday ends.
