The 4-5 Seahawks play the 4-4-1 Packers on Thursday. To find out more about Green Bay I asked five questions to Freddie Boston of FanSided’s Lombardi Avenue.

Both the Seahawks and Packers need a win on Thursday to keep their playoff hopes alive. Green Bay is winless on the road, though, and Seattle gets to play at home. But the Packers have found a running back to go along with quarterback Aaron Rodgers.

This game’s outcome may rely on how well Seattle’s defense can slow Rodgers and Green Bay’s newly versatile offense. Seattle may not be able to simply outscore the Packers.

To get a better look at the Packers, I asked Freddie Boston of FanSided’s Packers site, Lombardi Ave., five questions about Green Bay and the game on Thursday. Here is what he had to say.

The two Aarons

12th Man Rising: Aaron Rodgers may finally have some help consistently at running back in Aaron Jones. What makes Jones productive in a way that other Packers backs have failed in recent years?

Freddie Boston: Jones is an explosive runner. He has great vision, as well as the speed and ability to break tackles, which makes him so tough to defend. Unlike Jamaal Williams, who is ideal for short-yardage situations and is a powerful runner, Jones can turn a small gain into a huge play.

Williams saw more game time early in the season due to his pass protection, but Jones has improved in this area and has also made plays as a receiver.

Jones is exciting to watch and regularly makes a big play. Mike McCarthy needs to continue giving him the ball, as the entire offense is better with him on the field.
