The Seahawks rested several players on Wednesday for week 13. Hopefully some of these players will play in week 13.

No matter which of the Seahawks that missed practice on Wednesday will miss the week 13 matchup against the 49ers, one thing is true. Seattle is still by far the healthier team between the two. And that is with linebacker K.J. Wright definitely being out this coming Sunday.

Wright has had a lost season really. He missed preseason after having his knee scoped and he hasn’t been the same since his return. He won’t play against the 49ers and might be out for a lot longer.

The good thing for Seattle is that Mychal Kendricks can come back in week 14 following his suspension so Wright’s services may never be needed with the Seahawks again. Wright is a free agent after 2018.

Five other Seattle players did not participate in practice on Wednesday. The list includes starters Doug Baldwin and Bradley McDougald. Both players were able to get lots of snaps against the Panthers and most likely were held out just for rest.

The other three Seahawks that did not go on Wednesday were Shamar Stephen, Dion Jordan and Tre Madden. Jordan is always iffy whether he will play in games or not. And Nazair Jones had a good game against Carolina and makes Stephen less important.

The 49ers had four players that did not participate in practice and a bunch of others who were limited. Of course, this does not include players, like quarterback Jimmy Garoppolo, who have already missed a lot of the season.
