The Seahawks face the Vikings on Monday night football with at least two key players out. But Seattle might be missing an important third piece as well.

At least two important Seahawks will be out with injury during Monday’s game with the Vikings. K.J. Wright is definitely out. D.J. Fluker is listed as doubtful, but we all know he won’t play either. And Doug Baldwin is also very questionable as to whether he will play or not.

We know the drill by now, right 12s? Seattle linebacker K.J. Wright will miss another game with a knee issue. The outside linebacker has missed nearly the entire year. The great thing for Seattle is that Mychal Kendricks is back from suspension and will take Wright’s place.

Fluker hurt his hamstring during last week’s 49ers game. The guard has been an important member of the offensive line this year bringing an intense physicality that Seattle has missed badly in previous season. In his stead will step Jordan Simmons. Simmons has played decently in limited time this year, but he is no Fluker.

Even more worrisome is the health of receiver Doug Baldwin. Baldwin is dealing with some kind of hip issue. Pete Carroll hasn’t really elaborated as to how bad the injury is but hopefully Baldwin will play.

One might wonder if Baldwin’s body is starting to break down as 2018 has seen a very limited Baldwin in many games. He has been one of the best receivers in franchise history but Seattle might need to be looking for his long-term replacement at this point.

Thankfully, several other key Seahawks players participated fully in practice and seem to be good to go for Monday. These players include left tackle Duane Brown and running back Chris Carson.

For the Vikings, they will definitely be without cornerback Trae Waynes, tight end David Morgan and receiver Chad Beebe. Otherwise, Minnesota comes to Seattle fairly healthy for week 14. At least as both teams are battling for the playoffs, no team has the excuse that they beat the other team with the others’ most important players.
