The Seahawks defeated the Chiefs on Sunday and clinched a playoff spot. Here are the grades for Seattle.

What a great victory for the Seahawks on Sunday! Seattle has exceeded expectations nearly all season and will continue a chance to do so into the postseason. Seattle beat the Chiefs 38-31 in week 16 and will now hold one of the wild card spots in the NFC.

There were a lot of aspects to be happy about following the win. And the great part is that a lot of the reasons Seattle won were for the same reasons they have been winning during a 9-4 stretch since week three. This means Seattle should continue to win games with the same style.

I am jumping ahead here as well, but this is a young team. Chances are they will not win a Super Bowl this year. But next year? And the year after? The Seahawks should be in the conversation for real contenders.

Plus, now week 17 becomes basically meaningless. Seattle will start the postseason on the road no matter if they win or lose in week 17 against the Cardinals. The Seahawks can actually rest players this coming week. Who would have guessed that after week two?

Seattle was not perfect against the Chiefs. The defense still gave up 31 points. But against Patrick Mahomes and that Kansas City offense, that is not bad. And both the offense and defense were reasons that Seattle won.

Here are the grades for the entire Seahawks team against Chiefs. And this is now officially a playoff team.
