The Seahawks were missing several players at practice Wednesday due to injury. Which players might miss week 17?

The Seahawks have already sewn up a playoff spot as they play the Cardinals in the final game of the 2018 regular season. And that may be a good thing as Seattle may have several key players who cannot play or could be limited due to injury.

On Wednesday, seven Seahawks did not participate in practice. The players included Doug Baldwin, Frank Clark, Jarran Reed and Bradley McDougald, among others. For most of these players, they may simply have missed practice for rest.

Baldwin has had health issues all year, it seems. He is currently listed with a shoulder injury. He did seem to get banged up during the Chiefs game after making yet another great catch. Russell Wilson simply isn’t the same quarterback without Baldwin on the field, though.

Clark also appeared to have an injury pop up against the Chiefs. The great thing about his and Reed’s injuries is that they do not seem to be the kind to keep them out of games. Reed injured his finger against the Chiefs but kept playing.

McDougald, as 12s all know, injured his knee this season but has mostly kept playing through it. He missed a lot of the 49ers game in week 15 and it showed in the Seahawks coverage. But McDougald was back against Kansas City and played a great game.

Linebackers Bobby Wagner and K.J. Wright were limited in practice but should be fine by Sunday’s game. Wright was probably just getting extra rest after playing more than expected against the Chiefs.

In good news, running back Rashaad Penny and tackle Germain Ifedi were full participants in practice. Both missed the Kansas City game.

The main point of the week 17 contest against the Cardinals, though, is to not get anyone injured. I wouldn’t mind seeing several players rested. Seattle will need all their key players healthy for the first round of the playoffs.
