The Seahawks play the Cardinals on Sunday in week 17. To get more information on the game and Arizona, I asked Raising Zona five questions.

The Seahawks are playoff-bound. Whether they win or lose on Sunday against the Cardinals, not much is affected. Seattle will be the fifth-seed if they defeat Arizona and the sixth (most likely) if they lose. This might be a good game to rest Seattle’s starters a bit.

But how much do the Cardinals want to win on Sunday? 2018 has not been a good year in Arizona and the Cardinals will end up with a high draft pick. To find out more about Arizona versus Seattle week 17 and the Cardinals future, I asked Scott Allen of FanSided’s Cardinals blog, Raising Zona, five questions.

How can the Cardinals improve?

12th Man Rising: Clearly the Cardinals are a rebuilding team. But in the NFL, a team can get better relatively quickly with good drafts and good free agent signings. How can the Cardinals get back to a 10 win team in the next few years? Or can they?

Scott Allen: The thing is, even with all the changes headed into the season, it was supposed to be a re-tooling not a rebuilding.  And you’re right, things can change in a hurry in the NFL.  In this day and age it doesn’t take long to go from good to bad or bad to good.  They need smart free agent signings and even smarter draft choices.  Yes, they can certainly win 10 games or more soon but only if they manage to put the right personnel on the field and off of it.  It will be interesting to see how the Cardinals move forward after the season at head coach and general manager.
