Seahawks odds for winning 2019 Super Bowl aren’t great, says Vegas

According to Las Vegas, the Seahawks will be a mediocre football team in 2019. Seattle has the 15th best odds of winning next season’s Super Bowl.
Some teams, like the New England Patriots, seem to always be among the favorite to win the Super Bowl. The Seahawks were a favorite for several years earlier this decade. In 2018, Seattle got little love and wasn’t expected to even make the playoffs. They did. IN 2019, they could be even better.
According to Oddsshark, though, Seattle has just the 15th best odds of winning the championship this coming season. Most other betting sites have Seattle about in the same ranking. Some of these sites base their odds on the Russell Wilson’s contract deadline and possible holdout. But 12s all know, Wilson won’t be holding out. He hasn’t missed a practice, let alone a game, in his Seahawk career.
Seattle will play six teams in 2019 that have better odds than they do at winning the Super Bowl: The Eagles, Saints, Rams (twice, of course), Browns, Steelers and Vikings. Four of the games will be played on the road.
The three teams that rank just below the Seahawks in terms of odds are all Seattle opponents as well: The Ravens, 49ers and Falcons. Seattle will play the Ravens and one of the 49ers games at CenturyLink and will travel to play the Falcons and the other 49ers game.

Of course, these odds do not include any draft picks the teams will be making. The NFL Draft occurs at the end of the month. It will be interesting to watch to see if the 49ers, with some higher picks than Seattle, pass the Seahawks in odds of winning the Super Bowl. San Francisco has the second overall pick in the 2019 draft. Seattle won’t pick until John Schneider wants them to.
