Who are two prospects the Seahawks might take that would be unexpected?

Sibert: I would be surprised if Seattle took a wide receiver in the first round. I think their sweet spot is in the second round. I would be a little surprised if they took an offensive lineman early as well because it isn’t our most pressing issue for once.

Patnode: I really think the Seahawks are going to spend one of their first two picks on a WR, which most people don’t seem to think is a good idea. One name who is all over the map in terms of mock drafts is Terry McLaurin of Ohio State. He is fast and a polished route runner. He is more of a Doug Baldwin replacement than an outside receiver, but I think he could be the “wow” pick of round 1.

Another name to watch early is Jace Sternberger, tight end from Texas A&M. While he is projected in the third round, I wouldn’t rule out him going in the early second after the Seahawks trade down. Sternberger has been linked to the Seahawks a few times, including multiple meetings between the player and Seattle. Personally, I wouldn’t be a big fan of this pick, but you can’t rule out anything with John Schneider and the NFL Draft.

VandenbergJeffrey Simmons as a first-round pick would shock me. We’ve all said he’d be a great value in the second, but it would definitely be a shock to see the Seahawks burn a first-rounder and wait a year for him. The second shock pick would be trading the 21 and 29 to move up for Josh Allen or Clelin Ferrell. Just…please, no. The ‘Hawks need too much to blow their limited draft capital like that.

Next. Our final mock Seahawks draft. dark

Vowell: Seattle will probably trade one of their first round picks at least. John Schneider will want more than five choices in this draft. Assuming that, I wouldn’t be surprised if Seattle simply takes the best player available to them, the same way they surprisingly took Rashaad Penny in last year’s draft. Seattle needs a pass rusher, but like Colby said, I could see them going with McLaurin or another receiver too. Anything is possible in a Seahawk draft and trying to guess what they will do is folly.
