The Seahawks should be in good position to make the playoffs in 2019. But if they get there and how far they go could be determined by these four players.

The Seahawks have a few superstars. Russell Wilson, Bobby Wagner and Michael Dickson are really good. (Yes, I mentioned a punter there and I stand by what I said.) These three players along with Tyler Lockett and Bradley McDougald and Jarran Reed are expected to lead Seattle to victories in 2019. But Seattle needs more.

Many times a team’s success is partly based on one or five players who have career seasons when not expected to. Seattle doesn’t truly need supporting personnel to be great, they need them to be very good and play their roles well so that the superstars can feed off them.

The Seahawks were fortunate enough to make the playoffs in 2018. In fact, under head coach Pete Carroll, Seattle has missed the playoffs just twice. So obviously a lot of Seattle’s success can be attributed to the coaching staff. But a coaching staff still needs players to buy in to what they are selling and execute their plans.

Seattle’s superstars are good enough, if they don’t get injured, to get them back to the playoffs in 2019. But exactly how far the team goes in the playoffs, and actually whether they make the postseason or not, is reliant on other players being better than they have been. For instance, D.J. Fluker was better than expected last season and helped Seattle lead the league in rushing.

Here are four players who need to be better in 2019 for the Seahawks to make the postseason and go deep in the playoffs.
