The NFC West has some excellent quarterbacks, obviously. Where does Seahawks quarterback Russell Wilson rank among his peers?

The NFC West has lots of talent. The Seahawks, of course, have a bunch of their own. The division could be the best in the NFL. And not just this season, but for the next three years. The Rams, 49ers and Seattle all have defensive players who can change the outcomes of games, for instance. And Arizona is trying to get a lot better offensively to change the narrative of their franchise.

Three of the four teams have offensive-minded coaches in their 30s that have already found success on some level. One of the them, Sean McVay, has made it to the Super Bowl. Pete Carroll, the oldest coach in the division at 67, has won a Super Bowl, of course. Carroll has been to two Super Bowls with Seattle and made the playoffs in 7 of his 9 years as the head coach.

But no team in the NFL is very good without a quarterback to help make them good. The NFC is completely loaded with quality quarterbacks from Drew Brees to Matt Ryan to Aaron Rodgers and beyond. The NFC West has two quarterbacks who have already shown themselves to have the ability to get their teams to the Super Bowl. Seahawks quarterback Russell Wilson, as 12s all know, has won one and been to two.

The other three presumed NFC West starters are in their 20s so the division is going to have competent quarterback play for many seasons to come. Jared Goff has been to one Super Bowl and his team is good enough to get to more. Jimmy Garoppolo, if he can stay healthy, has huge potential. And greatness is expected from Cardinals rookie Kyler Murray.

Where does Russell Wilson rank among his peers in the NFC West? Here’s a guess.
