Don’t sleep on Seahawks defense

For those lucky enough to draft individual defensive players, Bobby Wagner is an obvious pick. He should be taken before the fourth round if your league’s scoring is formatted correctly. Yes, he’s that good. The great Ziggy, aka Ezekiel Ansah, is worth a late-round risk at defensive end. It’s a risk, as he could either record 12 sacks or 12 missed games. I lean toward the sacks, myself. If you draft an entire defensive unit, I expect the Seahawks to be well into the top ten this season. A stronger pass rush and improved secondary will see to that. I expect the Hawks to improve their fantasy output significantly this season.

No, I didn’t forget the kicker. Jason Myers certainly looks like he’ll repeat his Pro Bowl performance of 2018. Now, don’t be crazy and draft him in the third round. Just don’t forget him, either.  While I’m at it, that guy behind center in Seattle is pretty good, too. Wilson ranked ninth among quarterbacks last year. I believe his ranking will take a nice jump this season, though, as I expect the entire offense to do the same.

There you have it. A few fantasy studs, and plenty of late-round sleepers. When Patrick Mahomes is drafted number one in your league, you’ll be secure in the knowledge that – well, okay, your season is ruined. But hey, you can still draft your favorite Seahawks for the Issaquah Ospreys!
