Special teams

Kicker: Jason Myers

Punter: Michael Dickson

Long-snapper: Tyler Ott

Returner: Tyler Lockett?

This is a no-brainer. There is only one kicker, one punter and one long-snapper on the Seahawks roster and that is Myers, Dickson and Ott, respectively. Myers did miss the extra point against the Chargers and he missed three last year when he was playing for the Jets, but this is nothing. Fans are still trying to get used to extra points as not gimmes. Plus, Myers made a 58-ayrd field goal against Los Angeles so he is good. Very good.

Dickson probably had the worst game of his life against the Chargers in a meaningless game. He is a perfectionist and having shanked one against Los Angeles is a good thing. It means he will fix whatever happened and be ready when the real games begin. He was a Pro Bowler in 2018 and most likely will be for years to come.

Ott is solid and that is all you really can ask from your long-snapper.

The biggest question on special teams is whether Seattle still wants to send Lockett back deep to field punts or kicks. He might now be too valuable on offense to risk injuring on kicks. If he doesn’t, Amadi has tried to do stuff in the preseason and Rashaad Penny was a good kick returner in college.
