The Seahawks are relatively healthy going into week four’s Arizona Cardinals game. But some key players are questionable still.

The Seahawks have made it through three weeks pretty healthy. They have not lost a key player to injury for the season. Hopefully, that won’t happen in week four against the Cardinals either. Knock on wood and all that. But while Arizona has no injury concerns at the moment, Seattle might be without a few important guys on Sunday.

Who’s in

Duane Brown

Poona Ford

Brown hurt his bicep last week against the Saints and had to miss 23 snaps. In his place, George Fant played left tackle and did OK. But Seattle doesn’t really have a replacement for Brown. Thankfully, Brown was a full participant in practice late in the week and not mentioned on Seattle’s Friday injury report.

Ford appears to be set to go too. While he hasn’t taken a huge step in year like some expected, he still stuffs the run and is worthy of being a starter.

Might be out

Ziggy Ansah

Rashaad Penny

Quinton Jefferson

While no Seahawks are listed as “Out” for the Cardinals on Sunday, three are listed as “Questionable” and the three above are the ones. Coach Pete Carroll says that Ansah, Penny and Jefferson all have a good chance to play, Carroll is also Mister Positive. Ansah seems to stay injured and if he does play against Arizona, it probably will not be much.

Penny has become even more important with Chris Carson’s rash of fumbles of late. Seattle might need someone to step in full time for Carson should he cough up the ball against the Cardinals. Penny would be that guy, if healthy. The running back missed a lot of 2018 with various injuries and is already banged up in 2019. Let’s hope the former first-round draft pick can stay healthy for a long time consistently.

Jefferson has been one of Seattle’s best defensive linemen so far this season and currently leads the team with two sacks. He has been dealing with a hip issue this week, though. Let’s hope Carroll is right and Jefferson can play on Sunday.

Most likely out

Next. Three Seahawks that need to be better in week four. dark

Ethan Pocic is the only player listed as “Doubtful.” Pocic has a back problem. Dealing with a back injury for any player is difficult enough, but for a big guy who is constantly getting pushed on, back pain is even harder to play with. I don’t think Pocic will play against the Cardinals.
